13"L x 13"W x 15"H
3-1/2" thick solid Sapele, 1/4" thick aluminum top, w/ dead flat water-based finish.
Chunk is a side table celebrating the thickness of wood available in this species. The aluminum top is thin in contrast to the bulky base, and seems to magically balance above the heavy legs. The large radiused edges of the wood soften its appearance, making it feel warm and cozy in contrast to its thick stature.
Our quartzite collection was inspired by the crystal’s natural ability to amplify energy, and the reason for our ongoing fascination with this material. The table was originally conceived as an altar. There is a hidden shelf below the top to place your most sacred objects. Quartzite is one of the hardest materials on Earth and takes an extremely long time to shape and polish. Each table is cut from a single slab of pure quartzite crystal and finished by hand.

Chunk is a thick, bulky and unapologetically heavy coffee table celebrating the thickness of wood available in this species. The large radiused top edge and legs soften its appearance, making it feel warm and cozy in contrast to its brute stature.
Predecessor to our Quartzite Coffee Table, the Quartzite Side Table was inspired by the crystal’s natural ability to amplify energy, and the reason for our ongoing fascination with this material. Building upon the form established in the coffee table, this piece further pushes the boundaries of the medium; testing its limits with balance and shape. One of the hardest materials on earth, quartzite takes an extremely long time to shape and polish. Each table is cut from a slab of pure quartzite crystal and finished by hand.

Lion Arm Chair further explores the V-shape that has long been a theme in my work, beginning with the Muse Bench in 2008. In this chair the shape is utilized as the seat and back leg, which seamlessly join and transition at the miter. The shape is both ergonomic and structural, requiring no additional bracing to sustain itself. Its also a very comfortable place to sit, 2024.
The reflecting mirror-on-mirror gives Portal the illusion of a gateway into another world. Its corner placement has the effect of opening space, creating another dimension, and promoting the flow of chi, an element of Feng Shui.
Hand polished and assembled glass. Custom colors and sizes upon request. Available with or without LED backlighting.

Ritual Cabinet is an exploration in contrast. Utilizing humble materials and high aesthetics it presents a dichotomy of rough and refined. Designed during the pandemic of 2020, material supply chains dried up, human interaction became scarce, and the world filled with a sense of uncertainty. It was a time to reflect and recalibrate. Spending my mornings in meditation; going inward to move beyond fear and call in growth became a mantra. The idea came to use the basic construction materials available and treat them as precious. Primarily composed of Hemlock, traditionally used as structural framing material, the cabinet opens to an Oak interior, blackened steel details, and a bronze mirror at the back, giving both the sense of retreat and reflection. There is also a drawer below. The materials are unified with a coating of black ink, leaving only the texture of the materials visible.
MATERIALS: ink dyed solid Hemlock, Blackened Steel, Oak substrate, & Bronze mirror.

Tage (pronounced “TAH-gah”) Table pays homage to Danish-born woodworker and educator Tage Frid. Having read his volume of books Tage Frid Teaches Woodworking very early in my career I was able to approach projects beyond my technical abilities, at the time, with relative confidence. Had it not been for his dedicated notes and passing of experience I would not be the craftsman I am today. Tage’s influence over the studio furniture movement in the United States completely embodies this piece and all the other work that is made here in our New York based studio.

Designed with lumbar support in mind, the award-winning chair is not a seat to squeeze into; it is comfortable, with plenty of room to breathe and ruminate. The Gibbous Chair is made to tuck all the way under the Gibbous Dining Table, creating open floor space and maximum room flow, but is equally powerful on its own. Made from first quality solid oak, this sustainably harvested domestic wood chair is made entirely by hand. The leather is English bridle, edge-polished, and, like a saddle, only gets more beautiful with age and wear.
Winner of the 2019 NYCxDESIGN Best Residential Seating Award by Interior Design Magazine and ICFF.
